La Centifolia
was founded in 2009 by Leila Schayegh in order to develop programs with larger ensembles. She brings in her experience of many years as a concert master and a group leader.
The repertoire ranges from early baroque to the classical period – a diversity which is also present in the instrumentation. Programs with singers, wind or string players -- the possibilities are many.
Leila Schayegh gathers within La Centifolia top-class musicians with whom she has been playing for many years. Her musical sensitivity, her creativity as well as her rigorous direction guarantee memorable concerts.

La Centifolia, the hundred-petals roseCultivated before 1600 in the Netherlands, it was a favourite subject in Dutch masters paintings of the 17th and 18th century. Much beloved in baroque gardens and later in landscape parks, the Centifolia remains a symbol for the luscious baroque era.
