Solo program - Towards Bach

This program shows the developement of the violinistic solo literature. Bachs predecessors and contemporaries as Biber or Pisendel contributed wihtout doubt to the coming of age of  sonatas and partitas for violin solo. At the same time, the audiance receives an impression about the many possibilities of improvisation.
Works by Matteis, Biber, Pisendel and Bach for violin solo.

Giovanni Mossi's compositions were part of a development

The Sonatas by Giovanni Mossi are now available on CD
(Pan Classics PC 10212)
